Sorry it’s been a while, blog world. What with all my Twitter postings lately, I feel overwhelmed by possibility right now. No need to edit myself down to 140 characters. Lalalalalalalalalalala.
Wes Leslie and His Deadly Medley spent a day in the studio on Saturday recording our follow-up to Wes Leslie Ends Meat. There are some full-band re-recordings, and some completely new songs. The album is titled Wes Leslie Keeps Kosher, a name chosen for a few reasons.
First, it’s a fitting follow-up to Ends Meat, as Keeps Kosher is a natural extension and expansion of my first release (the new versions of old songs).
In addition, I’ve been exploring my Jewish roots more lately, and will be traveling Israel with my banjo, other musicians, and little else this summer.
